Jade Lore, They/ Them

Jade is a Professional Counselor Associate who graduated with their Masters of Arts from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education & Counseling in Spring of 2021. Jade studied addictions while in school and has extensive knowledge surrounding the relationship between addiction and trauma. Jade also has experience working with youth in residential treatment facilities and a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program. Jade has spent the past year working with teens who are experiencing depression, trauma, anxiety and other mood disorders along with their families.

Jade is fundamentally a person-centered counselor who likes to integrate mindfulness, psychoeducation, and creativity into their therapeutic approach. They are currently training in the protocols of EMDR and Lifespan Integration. Jade believes that we all have the resources to heal inside of us, but that trauma often acts as a barrier to those resources and can make it extremely difficult for us to heal. Jade aims to help people tap into their own internal well of healing and knowledge so they can come out on the other side of trauma, where surviving turns to thriving.

Jade specializes in working with gender/LGBTQIA+ issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, incest and childhood sexual abuse survivors. They have experience working with youth 11-17 years-old as well as adults.

Jade has completed a Compassion Cultivation Training which informs most of the work they do as well as the lens they see the world through. Jade loves to paint in their free time, listen to audiobooks, snuggle with their cat Jelly, and care for their tiny jungle of plants.
