The PATH Center

Portland Attachment & Trauma Healing Center

Providing Intensive Trauma and Attachment Therapy for

Children, Teens and Adults

The PATH Center is an outpatient treatment center, that provides integrative psychological services.  We are located in the heart of Portland, and provide a safe, welcoming place for children, teens and adults. At The PATH Center, we specialize in working with families who have children from “the hardest places”.  At the helm of our clinic is Gail Hardman-Woung, LCSW.  She is an expert in the field of trauma and attachment.

What Makes The PATH Center So Effective?

We are a team of FIVE adoptive moms (former foster parents), an adoptive dad, and one adult adoptee (from the foster care system).  Together we have over 140 years of experience working with special needs kids and their caregivers.  WE GET IT!

At The PATH Center, we employ the cutting-edge trauma protocols that are most effective, including Lifespan Integration Therapy, EMDR, Neurofeedback, Safe and Sound by ILS & Steven Porges, EFT and HeartMath.  We believe in putting Neurobiology at the center of treatment.

We favor right-brained treatment approaches because they work!  By combining state-of-the-art brain technologies with right-brained therapies, we are able to address body memory and dissociated triggers that keep survivors from feeling safe.

Supporting Care Providers of Foster Kids, and Families Touched by Adoption

Our supports for care providers, parents and families includes Therapeutic Parenting classes, a bi-monthly Moms Coffee gathering, a FREE monthly Adoptive Parent Support Group, therapeutic art and dance classes…just to name a few!  We enjoy helping families move from merely surviving to THRIVING!
