Julie Lawrence, CSWA She/Her
Julie is the mother to a mixed-race family of nine. She adopted two of her children after being a foster parent for over ten years. Julie specializes in treating youths who have experienced abuse, abandonment, betrayal, domestic; emotional and physical abuse. She deeply respects and appreciates her clients and honors the opportunity to provide a safe space for them to have a voice and be their authentic selves.
Julie has fifteen years of experience working with youth, families and adults from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and belief systems who have experienced trauma in some form. She utilizes a trauma-informed, strength-based approach.
Her background is in narrative therapy, family systems theory, and TF-CBT. She is currently being trained in EMDR for and Lifespan Integration therapy.
Julie is cultural, sexual and gender-responsive and she meets people where they are. She utilizes positive youth development and anti-oppressive practices. She is committed to walking with clients while they explore and dismantle the challenges they face. In Julie's free time she enjoys being in the outdoors with her family and friends.
