Stephen holds a Master of Science, Clinical Psychology degree. He began his therapist journey in 1994 working in a Wilderness program in Albany, OR for three years. This program treated teens with drug/alcohol problems and/or Oppositional Defiant Disorder/Conduct Disorder. After living in the woods for over 200 days a year, Stephen began working in community mental health evaluating dangerous (harm to self, others, or gravely disabled) for a mental hospital. Stephen began a private practice in 2008 in Port Angeles, WA. During the past 26 years, Stephen has treated a wide variety of disorders, including Oppositional Defiant Disorder/Conduct Disorder, ADHD, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, OCD, and chronic disorders. Stephen has experience working with men, women, nonbinary, LGBTQiA+ and adolescents. Types of therapy utilized by Stephen include: Developmental psychotherapy, directive and non-directive counseling. Lifespan Integration (LI) and EMDR. Steve facilitates a group for caregivers of children who have been sexually molested and are preparing for a forensic interview. Steve is a member of the LGBTQ + community.
